Pressure is on the Board of Governors by Congress as they meet this week. In a letter to BOG Chairman James Miller, Chairman of the House Government Reform Committee Tom Davis suggested delaying any rate adjustments until after postal reform issues are resolved.

The American Postal Workers Union filed in court seeking a preliminary injunction that would halt network realignment initiatives, at least until the fall Postal Rate Commission advisory opinion.
2006 is shaping up to be a very volatile and uncertain postal year.
