Low-volume Shipping Systems
Click-N-Ship™ from the USPS®:
The U.S. Postal Service® provides a free, online shipping solution that is adequate
for most consumers and some businesses that ship just a few domestic or international
packages each day. The USPS
Click-N-Ship™ solution is ideal for
consumers and for businesses that ship 1-10 pieces daily of the following
mail classes:
▪ Priority Mail®
▪ Express Mail®
▪ Global Express Guaranteed®
▪ Global Express Mail™
▪ Global Priority Mail®
▪ Global Airmail Parcel Post®
Although Click-N-Ship supports Delivery and Signature Confirmation™, at the discounted
electronic rates, for Priority and Express Mail, it DOES NOT enable you to ship
to APO/FPO addresses.
Click-N-Ship supports postal insurance for up to $500 on Priority and Express
Mail and up to $2,499 for Global Express Mail Guaranteed, but Click0N-Ship does
not support the more affordable private insurance providers, such as U-PIC® Insurance
Services.
Additional PC Postage® Options
Additional PC Postage solutions
are available for businesses with slightly larger shipping volumes—10-50 packages
daily—but for whom shipping is still not a mission-critical business function.
▪ Do you ship more than a few pieces daily?
▪ Do you need to ship to APO/FPO addresses?
▪ Would you like to benefit from low postage rates on First-Class Mail®, Parcel
Post®, Media Mail®, Bound Printed Matter, or Library Mail?
▪ Do you need Extra Services beyond Delivery Confirmation, including Certified Mail™
or COD?
▪ Do you regularly need to insure packages and, therefore, prefer support for low-cost
private parcel insurers?
If you answered “yes” to any of the questions above, you should consider private
vendors of PC Postage solutions, which enable you to process and pay postage online.
Window Book’s postal shipping software—Postal
Package Partner™ (PPP)—supports a range of shipping needs.
PPP supports low-volume shippers
who would like a more robust front-end to their PC Postage system by interfacing
to
DAZzle®.
PPP also supports mid- to large-volume
shippers who could benefit from
low-cost private insurance. In all cases,
PPP facilitates package preparation and labeling, postal acceptance, postage management,
and parcel tracking.
