Are you qualified for the new Commercial Rates for Priority Mail® and Express Mail®?

Effective May 12, 2008, the Postal Service started offering Retail and Commercial Rates for Priority Mail and Express Mail.

All of Window Book's Postal Package Partner (PPP) manifest clients qualify for these new lower Commercial Rates which is 3.5% less than Retail for Priority Mail. Prior to May 12, customers paid the same price per piece regardless of the number of packages sent or payment method. As of May 12th 2008, PPP clients who are paying postage with a permit are able to take advantage of the new Commercial Prices and save 3.5% over Retail Prices on Priority Mail items and a 3% saving over Retail Prices on Express Mail items.

Intelligent Mail®: Basic and Full Service

In May 2009, mailers will be required to use Intelligent Mail® which is designed by the USPS® to enhance automation, reduce costs, and offer valuable discounts for the customers.

By using Intelligent Mail, you will be able to exchange data, communicate info on address quality, make postage payments with the Postal Service in real-time. Postal discounts on POSTNET barcodes will be discontinued in May 2010, encouraging mailers to utilize Intelligent Mail barcodes and take advantage of additional services provided by the new mandate.
