DAT-MAIL Updated to Reflect Postal Rate Changes;

Compliant with USPS FAST Program

December 21 - Cambridge MA—Window Book, Inc. the leader in postal mailing and shipping solutions that work exclusively with the United States Postal Service (USPS), announced the release of the updated version of DAT-MAIL™, the complete mailing solution. DAT-MAIL has been implemented with support for the USPS Facility Access and Shipment Tracking System (FAST) program, and has been updated to work with the upcoming postal rate change.

To participate in the FAST program, internet access and the ability to send files electronically in the Mail.dat® file format are required. Window Book participates in the USPS FAST workgroup, and DAT-MAIL supports the 8125 form that is used by FAST. Participation in the FAST program will eventually be required of all Drop Shippers. In addition, FAST helps to improve Surface Visibility. Because appointment arrivals and unload times are now tied to Surface Visibility scans, facility access is improved due to better information on facility limits and enhanced reporting. FAST helps to streamline the data maintenance process via integration with Drop Ship Product and PostalOne! systems.

DAT-MAIL has been updated to include the new postage rates, effective on January 9, 2006. The program now allows users to easily view the postage rates for a mailing at the 2006 rates. If for any reason a customer wanted to know what a mailing would cost at the new postage rates, DAT-MAIL includes a function that allows users to view both the old and new postage rates. This function can help determine budget allotments for the coming year, and allows customers to establish a mailing schedule depending on cost in advance of their competitors.
