Import Mail.Dat
From the main menu, run “File” -> “New Mail.Dat Import”.
Make sure the "Do Not Import Piece Detail File" checkmark is checked. We don’t need
an extra gazillion megabytes worth of data that’s not used.
There’s no need to change anything else. The description and job number is taken
by the mail.dat data.
Press the "Select Mail.Dat File" button.

On “Select Mail.Dat File to Import” form, select the “maildat.hdr” file you wanted
to import and press the “Open” button.
Unfortunately, some presort programs always set the “Estimated Mail Date” to be
the date presorting was generated.
To fix the problem, check the “Set Ship Date to Zero” checkbox.
Uncheck “Set Ship Date to Zero” checkbox.
The “Estimated Mail Date” field is now editable. Change it to “12/27/2007”.
Change the “In home Delivery Date” field to be three business days after 12/27/2007,
which will be 12/31/2007.

Press the “OK” button. After it finished, you’ll see the following screen:
You’ll see how the jobs could be divided into trays. You cannot divide the trays
into smaller jobs. If one tray has 1100 postcards, then you must do one mailing
of 1100 cards. You should not do two mailings of 550 cards each. |
