Network Distribution Centers (NDC) are highly mechanized mail processing plants that are part of the USPS network distribution system. These facilities distribute Standard Mail®, Periodicals Mail, and Package Services Mail in bulk volumes.
Sectional Center Facility (SCF) is a processing and distribution center (P&DC) of the United States Postal Service (USPS) that serves a designated geographical area defined by one or more three-digit ZIP Code prefixes.
Area Distribution Center (ADC) is a U.S. Postal Service facility located in a high-mail-volume area that distributes mail to other facilities within the system, such as post offices, but not to mail addresses.
The DDU is the facility where the carrier cases mail for delivery to the addresses on the pieces in the mailing.
