DAT-MAIL Update Notes

Update Notes

IMPORTANT Notes:

1.    There will be a file conversion of our Permit file to accommodate case 9403 where a new Payment Account field has been added to the Permit table.

2.    TMS and eDocs Monitor Users, you MUST update your Window Book Automation Scheduler.  The PostalOne! system will be updated on April 21, 2013 and that update contains a new format of the Enhanced XML Receipts that are used to show the statuses of your Mail.dat file uploads.  For TMS Users, those statuses control the flow of your upload functions.  You do not have to wait until April 21, 2013 to perform the update.  Our products are designed to read the old and new formats independently.

3.    DIME Users, you will notice that the Statement list on the Imported Jobs list is now only showing Consolidated statements instead of each individual statement destination.

Case 8419
We have added a new option on the Whittier Setup window named ‘Export Extraneous Line Info”.  When activated, the current Tag Settings will be read and applied to the Container Summary File records (CSM) upon export of the file.

  Case 8423
We have added ‘CSM Included in Other Docs’ to our statement generation code so that separate postage statements will be generated automatically when differing values are found.
  Case 8418

  Case 8128
There is a new button on our postage statement update window at the Containers tab named ‘Edit Containers’.  There is also a new button on our 8125 list browse on the Related Statements tab named ‘Container Details’.  These new buttons will allow a user to change counts associated with containers and handling units when it has been generated from a Mail.dat file with presort levels defined.  Whenever possible, it is strongly recommended that these counts be edited within the Mail.dat file but we understand that some of our clients are not yet using eDocs and would prefer to edit the resulting paperwork instead.  H/D: 17163
  Case 8443
We corrected a pound calculation rounding error for Machineable Parcels on 3605 postage statements.  H/D: 17411
