DAT-MAIL 8.13.01.26 / Statements 8.13.19.10
|
| |
|
| |
IMPORTANT Notes: |
| |
1. The version numbering has changed to signal the fact that we now support 13-1 Mail.dat files.
a. The default version of Mail.dat is set to 12-2 (current) in the Start Up Options tab of Program Setup. This can be changed to 13-1 (beta) if a user wishes to experiment with files by upgrading them to the 13-1 spec.
b. Once 13-1 is selected, the title bar of the program will read (13-1 Beta). You may use this Start Up option to switch between the two supported versions of 12-2 or 13-1.
c. There is also an export version setting on the Export/Archive tab which is defaulted to 12-2 (current) and can be changed to 13-1 (beta). PLEASE NOTE: If you are using edocs with PostalOne!, you cannot submit Mail.dat version 13-1 until January 13, 2013 AND the Postage Payment Date on the mailing must be January 27, 2013 or beyond.
d. Our next release of DAT-MAIL will have the ‘Beta’ indicator removed once it becomes our main ‘import’ version. We will no longer offer an option to choose (or switch) between 12-2 and 13-1. HOWEVER, the version of Mail.dat to be exported WILL remain. Your 12-2 (or lower) imported file will up-convert to 13-1 and may be down-converted to 12-2 upon export.
|
| |
2. You will notice that your 12-2 imported Jobs will prompt you that a conversion must occur, even if you haven’t chosen to use the 13-1 beta. This is due to the fact that some new fields have been added to the Mail.dat TPS data file that we use to monitor your mailing activity. |
| |
3. January 2013 postage statements and rates available. Use a Mail Date of January 27, 2013 or beyond in your Mail.dat file from our Navigator View or our Mail Schedule View to see the new rates on our Rate Summary Report and other reports. Generate postage statements (via Mail.dat or manually) with a date of January 27, 2013 or beyond to see the new rates and new forms. |
| |
|
| |

|
Case 7771
Revisited – We’ve added a button the new Client tab of the imported Jobs list ‘Populate missing Clients’. This can be used to update existing files that were imported prior to us automatically assigning this value on import. Be warned that this will button will process every file in your active Jobs list to determine if a Client can be derived by the fields in MPA (Mailer Postage Account) file so it could take awhile. Once the association is complete, you can simply begin typing the Client Name you wish to locate in your list and the grid will automatically update for you.
|
| |
Case 8706
Revisited – We fixed an issue on the Navigator window where changes to the By/For section were not automatically updating the changed information. Previously, the user had to switch to another view and then go back to the Navigator window to see the changes. |
| |
Case 8498
When the PostalOne! file export version is set to 13-1 and we determine that the Segment File and/or Piece Detail File Move Update Method is FAST Forward, we will change the 3 (FAST Forward) to 0 (None). Please be advised that this will cause a PostalOne! validation error. |
