DAT-MAIL 5.10.25.06 / Statements 5.10.25.07 - Public Release  8/31/10 6:25 pm
Internal/Programming Enhancement

NOTE: IPS-compatible Install (replaces the NPS install):

For IMB-type WBNPS install - Looks for wbdb.xml and a registry entry indicating a .NET WBNPS install has taken place.  If it finds this, it will uninstall the existing WBNPS at the beginning of the installation, based on the version.  At the end of the installation it will run the IPS client install, which is similar to the prior IMB/.NET WBNPS installation except that the files go into the program directory of the product.  For instance  C:\WB\MDV  for DAT-MAIL.  Verify the IPS install by finding wbIPS202.dll and wbIPSCLIENT.dll in the program directory.

For non-IMB type installations - C:\Program Files\Window Book\WBNPS is removed, all files deleted and the IPS files go into the main program directory of the product.  No uninstall or running of the IPS Client install is necessary.

  Install Notes:
Internal/Programming Enhancement

Includes IPS and wbips202.dll version 7.0.10.0.
Added uninstall information.
Added New Validation tables.
Updated Dropship data layer dlls to version 4.91.31.01

Case Notes:

Internal/Programming Enhancement

Case #3610
We revised our USPS calculations for Postage Affixed mailings with a balance paid by Trust to match the PostalOne! system’s calculations.

Internal/Programming Enhancement

Case #3651
First class containers within a Standard mailing are now updated properly during the statement generation process so they can be exported to PostalOne! in the Ready-To-Pay status.

Internal/Programming Enhancement

Case #3734
We found and corrected a problem where the tagging of pallets appeared in a random way after palletization or opening another job at the Mother Pallet View when a set of pallets from a previous job were tagged.

Internal/Programming Enhancement

Case #3743
We corrected an erroneous validation error on CQT-1112.  This CQT-1112 error should only be thrown when the Full Service Participation is set to Full or Mixed.

Internal/Programming Enhancement

Case #3750
A main File Menu export error was found and corrected. The Export Setup window now behaves as needed – it will not give an error message when a new Export Path is selected.  It will also refresh the display after a new Export Folder has been selected.

Internal/Programming Enhancement
Statements 5.10.25.07

Case Notes:
Case #3595
Our Statement Archive/Restore process was revised.  A condition existed previously where if the highest control number (Mail and Consolidated statements) was purged, those control numbers would be reused for subsequent statements. This prevented the ability to restore statements from an archive and have them retain their previous control numbers.

Case #3742
We are now offering the ability to change the default Postage Statement Archive Path and we default to that path when restoring archives.

Case #3763
We corrected an issue where the Package Description Section on Page 2 of 3602 Statement was disappearing if it contained too much data.

Case #3767
Our 8125 Box 28 has been updated to reflect the Redirection Facility Name in addition to the Redirection Facility Address.  The Redirection Facility Name will also appear in the 8125 list browse and the BOL list browse.

Case #3475
More work was performed to allow the selection of Origin statements for First Class, Standard and Pkg Svcs statements to be combined onto a single 8017 form.  More work is still needed to incorporate the 8017 form during statement generation of a Mail.dat file.

Case #3591
CSR Mailing Report by Job reflected a different client and was corrected.

Statements 5.10.25.06

Case Notes:
Case #3728
We corrected an issue where Full Service pieces were not calculating properly on Consolidated Periodical Statements.

Case #3754
We found and corrected a problem with 3605 forms when using Postage Affixed so that the balance due record is accurately produced.

We corrected an issue where Full Service pieces were not calculating properly on Consolidated Periodical Statements.

  Notes to Unreleased versions:

DAT-MAIL 5.10.25.05 / Statements 5.10.25.05

Install notes:
Includes updated FAST dlls v5.10.2.3 – program directory.
Update to “Remove WBNPS” logic to accommodate 64-bit (.NET) installations.
Includes new entry in mdbmdc.ini (DM Datapath on a new installation only): DeleteMotherPalletsSelectivity=0 under [Import Defaults].
Includes the latest wbips202.dll and wbips runtime files v7.0.8.0 (program directory).

Case Notes:
Requires MD Client Manager v5.10.25.01

Case #2551
We added a new report to the USPS Reports menu for Itemized Manifest Summary Report.  Previously, the Itemized Manifest Report would be run and an option to run the Itemized Manifest Summary would follow directly afterwards.  Now users have the option to print just the Itemized Summary Report.  If postage statements haven't been generated on the file, a message box is displayed to the user "There are no Records to Preview".

Case #3563
The merge type option under Utilities--> Merge Mail.Dat Files is now sticky.  The default setting is ‘Normal without OCI’ but the option that the user chooses will be ‘remembered’ the next time they select Merge Mail.Dat Files.

Case #3606
More work was needed to ensure that the file export windows are consistent from the main file menu and the file menu that appears from inside an opened Mail.dat job.  The last piece of this project will be to allow a filename override when a Full Export is chosen.

Case #3637
When we Merge Mail.dat Files (NOT Merge Containers) using 'Normal with OCI' and 'Normal without OCI , we now take the first Historical Job ID from each file and add that value to it's respective SEG-1126 User Option Field.  This value is displayed at our Segment View under the User Option column.

Case #3696
When MD Client Manager is connected to DAT-MAIL, we have an icon for MD Client monitor icon on the Qualification View that hovers over existing buttons.  This icon was moved on the main application window and will be moved on the Qualification View in an upcoming release.

Case #3707
Error opening DOSFILE Error code 5.  We have replaced original code that checks the read-only status of files (mail.dat files, not .zips) and, if necessary, remove the read-only attribute prior to importing so as not to throw this Error 5.

Case #3716
We fixed a problem in the DSMS program where a Consolidation Facility was not getting assigned to Regular Pallets.

Case #3717
Our TMS View was modified for a specific client (wbcc4) to allow incomplete XML Carter Control Files to be used for Mail.dat file processing.

Case #3727
A problem was discovered that UCID’s were not getting assigned to Regular Pallets on import and has been corrected.

Case #3730
We corrected an issue where inserting/creating a new Pallet at the Mother Pallet View was retaining the data from an existing Mother Pallet record.

Case #3740
Internal programmer update.

Case #3741
Internal programmer update.

Statements 5.10.25.05

Case Notes:

Case #3475
More work was performed to allow the selection of Origin statements for Standard and Pkg Svcs statements to be combined onto a single 8017 form.  More work is still needed to allow First Class statements and to incorporate the 8017 form during statement generation of a Mail.dat file.

Case #3649
Our setup option "Use Quick Date Entry" was affecting what text got displayed on the Calculations tab of statements that were manually created/inserted.  References to ECR Dates have been changed to CR.

Case #3718
We corrected issues surrounding Periodical Statement printing.  Added window title to printer dialog and fixed the record display that occurred after cancelling a printer selection.

Case #3610
We revised our USPS calculations for Postage Affixed mailings with a balance paid by Trust to match the PostalOne! system’s calculations.

Case #3736
We fixed an issue where verified Multi-Job/Multi-Client Statements allowed the changing of Piece Counts.

Custom Export Program Updates (wbcc3) for Piece Total, Piece Rate rounding issue and allowed discounts to export with a negative sign.

DAT-MAIL 5.10.25.04 / Statements 5.10.25.04

Install Notes:
Includes IPS Client files 7.0.8.0
Includes wbips202.dll v7.0.8.0

Case Notes:
Requires MD Client Manager v5.10.25.01

Case #3635
We corrected some miscellaneous bugs with our Tag by Range option at the Mother Pallet View.

Case #3646
The Qualification View has Queries available and we were filtering on CSM fields in most cases.  We have included MPR tables to allow more selections to be used.

Case #3709
Text edit change for MPA-1112 on the MPA record edit window changed from Mail Facility Identifier to Mailing Facility DUNS Number.

Case #3710
We corrected a PDR import problem that could happen on rare occasions when the record counts were 200,001, 300,002, 400,003, etc.  This caused a mismatch in our logout/commit statements that are used like stream & flush to improve performance.

DAT-MAIL 5.10.25.03 / Statements 5.10.25.04

Install Notes:
Includes IPS 7.0.31.0

Case Notes:

Requires MD Client Manager v5.10.25.01

Case #3455
Revisited – coding upgrades to ensure 'Copy Weights' in the Mail Piece Unit View are accurate.

Case #3553
Revisited – more changes added to Daemon processing options for conformance testing, Export PO! Update Release File Automatically, ensure that Build Floating Batch ManifIest & Print Delivery Point Barcodes instead of Piece ID's are mutually exclusive, Import CVF Files option appears depends on the Print Delivery Point Barcodes instead of Piece ID's option.

Case #3564
Revisited – the option to delete ‘ALL’ Mother Pallets on import is now not dependent on NDC/MxNDC/SCF designations.

Case #3581
We have modified our USPS Sorted Pallets Plan options.  We are no longer using the USPS optional minimums and only retaining the USPS required minimums (i.e. trays that meet 500 pounds or 72 linear feet).  You may now choose whether our palletization program will use minimum pounds or linear feet.  If both options are selected, both minimums must be met.

Case #3592
We removed the ‘sticky’ setting on the Single File Import screen for PDR and IMR options.  We now will always display the Default Program Settings for those PDR and IMR options but allow a one-time-use override.

Case #3598
Revisited - More work was needed to ensure that newly imported files are capturing the Historical JobID data.  We also changed the button text from ‘Populate missing Historical Job Numbers’ to ‘Populate Missing Historical Job ID’s’.

Case #3604
Functions in the old barcode library have been replaced with IPS calls.
Old bc553x.dll library removed.

Case #3606
Our ‘Export Mail.dat File’ feature has been updated to allow clients the option of exporting the entire file or a limited set of files that only includes the HDR and CSM records.  An additional ‘Export File Name’ field is also present and allows for an override of the file name that will be exported.  More work is needed to ensure that the file export windows are consistent from the main file menu and the file menu that appears from inside an opened Mail.dat job.  In Part 2 of this case, we added CSV Exports to the Main Reports menu.  A new CSV Export option was also added named ‘Container Summary by Scheduler ID’.  This will export CSM fields from the Mail.dat file in CSV format that can be sent to Transportation companies that do not have Mail.dat software capabilities.

Case #3609
We have added .CSV as an option for importing Transportation Updates to Mail.dat files.  New CSM fields are also available for importing that includes:
CSM - 1112: Reservation Number
CSM - 1113: Actual Container Ship Date
CSM - 1117: Scheduled Induction Date
CSM - 1118: Scheduled Induction Time
CSM - 1164: Actual Container Ship Time
CSM - 1162: FAST Content ID
CSM - 1163: FAST Scheduler ID

Case #3634
We added a new tab named ‘by Historical Job ID’ to the ‘Select Mail.Dat Files for batch Reports’ window.

Case #3635
Fixed several bugs with the ‘Tag By Range feature’ at the Mother Pallet View.

Case #3636
There are new IMB Assignment options in Program Setup at the Pallet Tracking/Intelligent Mail tab.  Clients now have the option of assigning unique Intelligent Mail serial numbers upon file import or wait until the time of tag printing.  The default selection is shown on the Single File import window and has a one-time override setting then the default setting will re-appear.  Clients that wish to use their own IMB codes by not activating the ‘override’ boxes will see this new setting and should leave the default setting as ‘assign on import’ in order for the supplied codes to be logged to our SQL database.  No new IMB codes will be assigned at import or tag printing.

Case #3639
We modified the coding for TMS Status updates in multi-user environments.  If two users are both looking at the same Carter file in our TMS View and one of the jobs is ready for statement generate, User 1 starts the generate process and the record is locked correctly which doesn’t allow User 2 to access this record.  When the record is unlocked at the end of the statement generation and PostalOne! ready-to-pay export processes, User 2 will now see the status change immediately.  Also, after the Get Data Button is pressed, the PostalOne! status is now refreshed immediately.

Case #3650
We added Mass updates of User Info Lines 1 & 2 to Mother Pallet records.  This also required us to open User Info Line 2 on Mother Pallet records. Changes to this data will propagate to the child containers.

Case #3655
We fixed an issue with Tag Printing when all Containers were selected.  Only 60 tags at a time were being processed.

Case #3675
Record not available (33) error on the mdbmlg.tps\MDImportlog file when creating PostalOne export

Case #3677
We fixed an Error 41 when deleting a Mail.dat file.  Clients who have experienced this error should rename their MDTrlrStop.dat file and allow the new version of DatMail to create a new (albeit empty) file.

Case #3695
We replaced NPS with IPS text on the Maintenance tab in program setup.

Case #3697
We fixed a refresh issue when the Related PQT records were called from within the Container Summary View.  The list was either returned empty or it displayed incorrect PQT records after an edit.

Case #3706
Inside the 'View Entry Points' button of a Transportation Scheme record, we changed the text on the 'Populate BMC's' button to 'Populate NDC's'.

Statements 5.10.25.04

Case Notes:

Case #3542
MailShop interface changes:
 a. MailShop browse list now allows incremental location on Job (previously only 1st character would be used).
 b. MailShop could provide a list of drops without having a Job causing drops for all Jobs to be displayed. We are now preventing drop list in this scenario.
 c. MailShop setup option added for Job selection to prevent records for Closed Jobs

Case #3680
Report Column Heading update on the Accounting Permit Activity Report now conditionally shows either 'Mailing Date' or "Posted Date' depending on which is selected in the report options.

Case #3689
3602-RV Destination experienced a vertical alignment issue when a standard consolidated form had only 1 destination.  This has been cosmetically corrected.

Case #3475
We have begun supporting the 8017 form ‘Expedited Plant-Load Shipment Clearance (7/2008)’ for Origin mailings.  There is a new setup option in DAT-MAIL Statements for 8017.  ‘Allow Creation of 8017’ activates the ability to see and use the new 8017 form.  ‘Always Create 8017’ will generate a corresponding 8017 form when an Origin postage statement is created.  The default ‘DMU Destination Office’ information will be printed in Box 24.  An 8017 form can also be manually created at the ‘Drop Ship Certification 8125/8017’ menu and includes the ability to tag multiple Origin statements.  More work is needed to incorporate the 8017 form during statement generation of a Mail.dat file.

Case #3591
CSR Mailing Report by Job reflected a different client which led to changes in our Job renaming process.

DAT-MAIL 5.10.25.02 / Statements 5.10.25.03

Install Notes:
Includes wbIPS202.dll v7.0.28.0(b) and wbIPS files version 7.0.3.0
Includes updated drop ship dlls (version 4.91.30.01) and DropShipIT (in DM installation).
Change to install logic so that pmws.ini and pmwwts.ini are installed in PM DATA Directory, IF a file of the same name does not already exist there.  (formerly this was done ONLY on a new install).

Case Notes:

Requires MD Client Manager v5.10.25.01

Case #3601
Many customers noticed a longer delay in opening the Entry Points listing inside Mail.dat and Statement records.  The issue was found and has been fixed.

Case #2222
A program setup option for CRID has been added to the Mailer Info tab.

Case #2603
We have added ability to print an 8125C from the Quick 8125 report menu.  After pressing the ‘Select Mailer Info’ button and choosing a Mailing Agent, clients will now see the option to choose either 8125 or 8125-C.

Case #2946
CAPS jobs were showing up on the Client Balance report due to a problem with the statement generation process when creating multi-job statements.  Proper Job ID values are now being set in the Job Dist records and passed into the PAR table.

Case #3537
Multiple report modifications were performed to ensure accurate siblings and/or pallet count totals.

Case #3557
Certain files with that included more than one discount within a single CSM record caused the generated 3602 and Enhanced Qual report to not match.  We fixed the sort order queue of the Enhanced Qual report and also changed the detail discount displayed on the report from DBMC to DNDC.

Case #3582
A strange display issue was found and fixed in the Entry View for DDU mailings.  All of the Destination names were appearing blank but would then populate after switching to another Windows task and then putting focus back on the Entry View.

Case #3584
We have added a Publication Listing lookup button inside MPA records.

Case #3593
We fixed the ‘populate’ buttons in Transportation Schemes to return the proper Destination ZIP codes for NDC/SCF/ADC facilities.

Case #3594
We added a new tab on the Merge Files window for client’s to select files by Historical JobID.

Case #3598
A new tab for selecting files by Historical JobID was added to the Imported Jobs Listing.  A small conversion of the data file (mdbmlg.tps) will occur upon start-up of DAT-MAIL.  The Historical JobID’s of previously imported Jobs can be shown by using the ‘Populate missing Historical Job Numbers’ button.  More work is needed to ensure that newly imported files are capturing the Historical JobID data.  We will also change the button text from ‘Populate missing Historical Job Numbers’ to ‘Populate Missing Historical Job ID’s’.

Case #3602
It was discovered that a File Delete request was not cleared if the user canceled the file deletion request.  Subsequent displays that showed the Mail.dat listing browse were referencing a Delete option instead of a Select option.  This has been fixed.

Case #3604
Internal programming change to remove the bc55x dll from our installation process.

Case #3623
We have coded a ‘refresh’ at the Mail Schedule View so that FAST Appointment information is now displayed without the user needing to exit and then return.

Statements 5.10.25.03

Case Notes:

Case #3630
Full Service quantities were doubling on CSR Mailing reports.  The following reports have been corrected: CSR Mailing Report, CSR Mailing Report (Client), CSR Mailing Report – USPS, CSR Condensed Mailing Report (by Job).

Case #3327
PS Form 8017 Expedited Plant-Load Shipment Clearance has been added to the program.  Currently only 1st Class and Standard are supported.  Periodicals and Package Services will be added in an up-coming release.

Case #2913
Much testing revealed a problem in the PM Data Layer when permits were changed. New PM Data Layer files are required to prevent this issue in the future.
