NOTE: IPS-compatible Installs (replaces the NPS install):
For IMB-type WBNPS install - Looks for wbdb.xml and a registry entry indicating a .NET WBNPS install has taken place. If it finds this, it will uninstall the existing WBNPS at the beginning of the installation, based on the version. At the end of the installation it will run the IPS client install, which is similar to the prior IMB/.NET WBNPS installation except that the files go into the program directory of the product. For instance; C:\WB\PMW for Post Master. Verify the IPS install by looking for wbIPS202.dll and wbIPSCLIENT.dll in the program directory.
For non-IMB type installations - C:\Program Files\Window Book\WBNPS is removed, all files deleted and the IPS files go into the main program directory of the product. No uninstall or running of the IPS Client install is necessary.

A condition existed previously where if the highest control number (Mail and Consolidated statements) was purged, those control numbers would be reused for subsequent statements. This prevented the ability to restore statements from an archive and have them retain their previous control numbers.

We have begun supporting the 8017 form ‘Expedited Plant-Load Shipment Clearance (7/2008)’ for Origin mailings. There is a new setup option in DAT-MAIL Statements for 8017. ‘Allow Creation of 8017’ activates the ability to see and use the new 8017 form. ‘Always Create 8017’ will generate a corresponding 8017 form when an Origin postage statement is created. The default ‘DMU Destination Office’ information will be printed in Box 24. An 8017 form can also be manually created at the ‘Drop Ship Certification 8125/8017’ menu and includes the ability to tag multiple Origin statements.
