Privacy Statement

This Privacy Statement explains what information Window Book, Inc. (“Window Book” or “we”) collects from individuals (‘you”) who visit the windowbook.com Web site (“windowbook.com” or the “Site”) and all associated sites linked to the Site by Window Book, or purchase or download products or services through the Site, or who obtain customer support and related services through the Site. This Privacy Statement also explains how Window Book uses and maintains that information. By using the Site, taking advantage of any Site services or promotions, or otherwise participating in Site offerings, you are accepting the terms and conditions of this Privacy Statement, including Window Book’s rights to use your personal information, in each case as stated below.

TYPES OF INFORMATION COLLECTED

We collect two kinds of information (“Information”) through the Site. The first kind is personally identifiable Information (“PII”); that is, information that can identify you as a specific individual, such as your name, home address, phone number, email address and credit card number.

The second kind of Information is the kind of non-personally identifiable information (“NPII”) collected and stored automatically by many Web sites. NPII includes, for example, information about your Internet service provider, operating system, type of browser, geographic location, mobile device and pages viewed on the Site. Although this information is related to you, it is not associated with your PII and cannot be linked to you personally.

Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose PII or other personal data through the Site’s Communications Service (defined below), this information may be collected and used by others.

Window Book encourages you to review the privacy statements of Web sites you choose to link to and from the Site so that you can understand how those Web sites collect, use and share your Information. Window Book is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on Web sites outside of the Site and the associated Window Book Web sites linked to the Site.

COLLECTION OF PII

Window Book collects PII in the following ways:

We do not intend to collect PII from anyone we know to be under 13 years of age. If you are under 13, you should not be submitting any PII. By providing us with your PII, you are representing that you are over 13 and you are authorizing our use and disclosure of your PII as described in this Privacy Statement, including any subsequent revisions to this Privacy Statement that we may publish on the Site.

USE OF PII

First, you should know that Window Book will not sell your PII to third parties or provide your PII to third parties for their use in marketing or promotional campaigns. Window Book will only use your PII for the specific purpose for which such Information was provided or as disclosed below.

Window Book may use your PII to notify you of updates or upgrades to our products and services, as well as to let you know about new services, products and other offers you may find valuable. If we send such notifications by email, the email will only provide links to a Window Book Web site, never to a third-party Web site, and we will never attach software or other documents to the email. You can opt out of these emails by following the "unsubscribe" instructions in any email.

If you participate in any Site activities (such as contests or forums), your PII may be shared, disclosed or used in other ways, including when we announce contest winners and award prizes. The rules provided by Window Book for the activities in which you choose to participate will inform you about these other uses of your personal information.

Window Book may also use your PII to respond to questions you have about the Site and our products, and to provide you with customer support. We may also use your PII for internal purposes, such as auditing, data analysis and research to improve our products and customer experience.

From time to time, we may send optional questionnaires and surveys to our users for such purposes as collecting demographic information or assessing users' interests and product needs. The information collected will be treated as confidential, and will be used only by Window Book.

Window Book may provide your PII to third parties who process financial transactions you initiate through the Site or Window Book’s products or who work with Window Book to provide you with product or services support. Those third parties are bound by contract to protect your PII against unauthorized disclosure.

In the event that Window Book, or all or a portion of its business, is acquired by or merged with a third-party entity, we reserve the right to transfer or assign the Information we have collected from you as part of such merger, acquisition, sale or other change of control.

Window Book does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. Window Book may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your PII is not transferred to the third party. In addition, Window Book may share data with trusted partners in the course of operating the Site, including but not limited to performing statistical analysis, sending you email or postal mail, providing customer support, or arranging for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to Window Book, and they are bound by contract to maintain the confidentiality of your Information.

Window Book may disclose your PII, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary: (a) to conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Window Book or the Site; (b) to protect and defend the rights or property of Window Book; and (c) to act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Site or the public.

This information may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, mobile device type, Window Book software version, Internet service provider, operating system, type of browser, geographic location and pages viewed on windowbook.com. We also use NPII to customize your experience on the Site, to help us improve the quality of the Site and our products and services, and in connection with our provision of user support.

USE OF COOKIES

The Site uses "cookies" to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a Web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the Web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize windowbook.com pages, or register with the Site for services, a cookie helps the Site to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your personal information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses, and so on. When you return to the same windowbook.com Web page, the information you previously provided can be retrieved so you can more readily use the Site features that you customized.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the Site services or Web pages you visit.

From time to time, we review our security procedures in order to consider appropriate new technology and methods. However, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, and we do not guarantee that your Information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of our technical, administrative or physical safeguards. You can help protect the security of your Information by taking precautions to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet. Keep your passwords private, and change them often using a combination of letters and numbers, and make sure you use a secure web browser.

When you post on any bulletin board services, chat areas, news groups, forums, communities, personal web pages, calendars, and/or other message or communication facilities offered by the Site (collectively, “Communication Services”), any personal information you share will be accessible to other Site users, and may be read, collected or used by them. You are solely responsible for the personal information you choose to submit to the Communications Services.

WE CANNOT ENSURE OR WARRANT THE SECURITY OF ANY INFORMATION YOU TRANSMIT TO US, AND YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.

This Privacy Statement may be revised periodically, and this will be reflected by the "Last Updated" notice below. If we make material changes to this Privacy Statement, we will post the updated Privacy Statement on the Site so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
